Leafy vegetables, especially dark greens vegetables are called nutritional powerhouses, they are a great source of vitamins A, C and K, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients. Leafy vegetables are ideal for weight management as they are vital source of antioxidants and are low in calories. Green leafy vegetables cleanse the improvety in your body, balance body pH and helps improve immune system. Green leafy vegetables are good sources of calcium and iron.
Lutein and zeaxanthin, carotenoids found in dark-green leafy vegetables protect against both cataract and age-related macular degeneration, the major cause of blindness in the elder people.
